Extraordinary Women

I look so forward to women's conference and going and worshiping w/ thousands of other ladies. I really look forward to Extraordinary Women conference in Greenville cause I get to spend it with a special blessing of a friend Tammy. One of the perks is Tammy get the suite seats and it is free but I would still pay just to do this with her... . I really believe that we met for a reason. Our story is we started working at Guardian Building Products on the exact same day for the same job and we had to go through training that day. So at lunch time the ladies training us told us to be back in a hour and we were both walking out and one of us ask the other if we wanted to have lunch together. Well, me and Tammy are both talkers and we were telling each other who we were and she mention she had gone to Dorman and I told her that my husband had too, she stop and look at me and said Glover as in Eric Glover and I was yeah well come to find out her and Eric use to hang out alot and had been really good friends. The mystery girl in the pic had just came to life and after 5 years has became one of my special blessing of a friend. We now get together as family and hang out but this weekend of Extraordinary Women is our weekend that we go and worship together, we encourage each other, we are there for each other it is just a wonderful time and I love every minute of it...

On Friday night it was Chondra Pierce and if you have never seen her go see her any time she is around or if nothing else get her DVD she is FUNNY and her facial expression are just as funny. Then that night was the Newsong concert which they were really great. Of course they did Christmas Shoes and there was not a dry eye in that place. It was good to hear them and not have my teenager telling they are not good and this comes from a 16 yr old that you can't understand most of his music.lol

Also on Friday night Charles Billingsly lead the worship a he had some back up singers that he just said sister from Greenville. When the girls were on stage I notice one look like Kim Lord but was like nah, then they put the camera on her I was like wow if it ain't she got a twin so I ask Holly cause she was there and closer and she said yeah it was Kim and her sisters and they had a band called Sisters and I was like wow that is cool they get to sing back up for Charles. But the cool got cooler and was a WOW Kim and her sister's sang a couple of songs just them and Kim even talked and the last song they did 7,000 women (or more) stood to their feet was just clapping away. I felt so bless cause even though I don't know Kim personally it just warm my heart to see all of this. Saturday there were women asking Karen Kingsburg booth where the Sister booth was. I over heard people talking about how great they were and wondering if they were going to be back on Saturday. Sadly they weren't but be looking for Sister and go and see them...

Saturday we went back at 7:30am and we got to hear Charles again. He does a great job getting you and going that early. First up was Karen Kingsburg and she told some of the same stuff as she did on Thursday night, she opens up about her life and just is really great. Then Angela Thomas spoke and she is from Mt. Airy NC and she sounds it. She was truly my favorite and I don't think there was a dry eye when she was done. She had women standing up that have been through different trails and had the grace of God to bring them out of it. The presence of the Lord was truly in that place as she did her prayer and altar called. It was a great emotional release. Thank goodness after her it was a lunch time and we rode over to Olivia Garden w/ 2 girls Tammy works with they had VIP parking so we could leave and not have to pay to park again and we didn't have to fight the crowd for the expensive food. We got back and heard Michelle McKinny Hammond which I missed the first year and heard that she was great and after seeing her she was another favorite to me. Kathy Trocolli gave a mini concert and share some with us and then Stormie Omartian wrap up the day. Now I love all her Power of A Praying... books I have the wife, woman, parent, Prayer that Changes Everything but I have a hard time following her cause she is fast nervous talker but she has great things to say.

Now, what did I get out of the Free To Be Real weekend...
Chondra- We are all P-R-E-T-T-Y in God's eyes cause he created us.
Karen- God is the author of our life and everybody we come in contact is a charter in our novel that he place there. Roman 13:2 and John 10:10 time can be a thief in our life take captive of every moment. Sunshine is just beyond the clouds

Angela- we need to stop going through life with squity eyes. We need to have the veil lifted out so we can see clearly. God restore, he never ignores2 Corn 3:13-18. We are free to show the glory of God.. Matthew 5:14-15 Shine for the dark world. If we sit there all the time worrying about our disappointments we will never see the blessings being brought to us. He knows our hurts but we keep going to the wrong places to have them satisfied. God is the only one that can fill us up.

Michelle- Just be real with God cause guess what he already knows he is just waiting on you to tell him and give it to him. Free to be real w/ God those tears will come back to haunt you, expose yourself to God. When you are truly free you can not be broken unless God breaks you. We should go to church to give God the glory and praise him not what we are going to get out of it. Live a life of worship.. Esp 3:20

Stormie- nothing will change with out prayer and having an intimated relationship God. If you allow the Lord to change you he will use you. God wants to set us free. One way we can be in the presence of the Lord is through worship & praise and you can make those changes through prayer. Psalms 22:3.

It was a wonderful weekend and my prayer is that I will come to a free to real life and show the world the glory of God and praise and worship Him everyday.

Ladies Night Out W/ Karen Kingsbury

Thursday night I Christian Supply to see Karen Kingsbury with 2 great friends Ree and Holly. I personally love Karen Kingsbury to which point I want to move to Bloomington, ID and be Kari and Ashley friend and hang out with the Baxter and Flanigan. I know it is sad but if you have not read any of her books you need too. The first one of the Redemption Series is Redemption and that is where the Baxter's start then that takes you Firstborn series to the Sunrise series which is where I am at. You can go to www.karenkingsbury.com to get a complete book list. Another great book is Let Me Hold You Longer. It is about all our children's first but not really knowing when the last time they will do something. It is really great, I am going to try and remember it for my boys when they leave for college. She also has a book called Lets Go On a Mommy Date and then she has one coming out called Lets Go On A Daddy's date. For the night we went and stod in line, heard her speak, took pictures and got autographns. She is really a super sweet lady and loves to meet her readers and talking to them. Christian Supply did a great job of making it a wonderful ladies night out and gave all the ladies a goody bag and a rose. I just didn't win the spa day, oh well maybe next time..lol..In about a week you can check out Karen's and I think Christian Supply website for pictures too.
